Will's Spiritual Life

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

It was evident early on that Will had a heart for God and a desire to help people. He grew up deeply rooted in his church community. He took an active role in many church ministries, such as Sunday School, the Mime Ministry, the music ministry as the church drummer, and working in the youth department. Will accepted Jesus Christ in the Summer of 2002 at the age of 7 years old, and as a young Christian, he even took the initiative to ask his Pastor if he could become a Junior Deacon. He was eager to serve both God and his community, reflecting his strong commitment to his faith and his desire to make a positive impact.

As Will grew older, he found himself navigating the complexities of life. He came to realize that the world was far more intricate than the bubble he had grown up in. He wanted to stay on the righteous path, but the temptations of the world and the pressure to fit in would sometimes pose a challenge for him and influence him to make choices that he wasn't always proud of. Yet Will always knew that he could call on the Lord to help him, and he was always open to the things of God.

“Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Will’s Connection To God

On the evening of Sunday, March 27, 2022, and in the last few weeks before Will's passing, after a difficult mental health episode, Will decided to recommit himself to the Lord Jesus Christ, providing him with a profound sense of peace, as Will expressed gratitude about his relationship with God.

In Will's darkest moments, as he battled mental illness and faced the weight of past decisions, he found comfort, peace, and reassurance in God's love through His Word.

During the last 5 weeks of his life, Will recommitted himself to the Lord. When everything around him sometimes felt uncertain and frightening, and his mental health was failing him, his faith in Christ comforted him.

For Will, this faith was deeply personal, unwavering, and a source of strength.

If you're looking to discover your path to God and build a stronger connection with Him, God's Will Foundation offers you the tools to help you start your own spiritual journey through new life in Christ.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Will’s Bible Plan
Messages

In his final days, Will spent a lot of time reading the Bible, praying and asking God for help with everything he was dealing with. He was also very dedicated to doing the Bible Plan, alone and with his parents, through a Bible app he used.

Will's responses in the Bible plans showed that he was focused on pleasing God over anything else. He prayed for the strength to overcome selfish ambitions and desires, asking instead for guidance in helping others and remaining obedient to God’s will.

He also asked for forgiveness of his sins and for his spirit to be continually nourished so he could fully embrace his new life in Christ. Alongside these prayers, Will expressed deep gratitude to the Lord for His presence and guidance in his life.

The verses he read reassured him that despite his flaws and sins, he was deeply loved and forgiven. They reminded him that his kindness and efforts to help others were reflections of a greater love that surpassed all understanding.

"Lord thank you for leading me to the narrow gate for salvation!

I understand that this journey is day to day, and I am grateful

for a second chance."

This renewed connection with his faith gave Will a profound sense of peace, calm, and assurance, enabling him to face each day with a refreshed spirit and a heart full of gratefulness.

In those quiet moments of prayer and spending time in God's Word, Will uncovered a deeper understanding of himself, as well as the power of the Lord’s grace, mercy and unconditional love.

Will’s journey with God in his final weeks was a beautiful path of reconciliation and acceptance, and we want to share his personal insights with you.

'Lord thank you for new beginnings. Still fighting to
have my old habits die hard, help me to continue feeding
my spirit and living my new life in Christ. Also take away
the sin within me that does wrong. I am aware that within
my body is a warzone but I don't want to lose anymore fights."

“Lord, thank you for the opportunity to come to you in prayer! Prayer reminds us that we are not alone and that you wanna hear from us as much as we wanna hear from you
in our daily lives…”
