Get To Know God

In the midst of all the difficulties that life brings, it is possible to experience peace with God through Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him, as Will did.
No matter who you are, what you've done, or where you find yourself, no one is too far to experience the unconditional love and grace of God.
If this is your desire, read on:
1) God's Purpose - Peace & Life
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life- abundant and eternal. The Bible says:
"For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
- John 3:16 -
2) The Problem - Sin Separates Us
People choose their own way rather that choose to obey God. This results in separation from God. The Bible says:

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
- Romans 3:23 -
3) God's Remedy - The Cross
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He, being sinless, paid the penalty for our sins and bridged the gap between God and people. The Bible says:

"God demonstrated His love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
- Romans 5:8 -
4) Our Response - Receive Christ
Make a choice to trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by asking Him to come into your heart and your life. He won't barge His way in. He gives us all free will to choose to invite Him in by personal invitation. The Bible says:
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
- Romans 10:9-10 -
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."
- John 1:12 -
How to Receive Christ
-
Admit your need. (I am a sinner.)
-
Be willing to turn from your sins (repent) and ask for God's forgiveness.
-
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
-
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior)
Here's an example of a prayer of commitment (but it's personal):
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sin, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus' Name, amen."
